Description:

The Project Manager for the Analytics Team (Volunteer) is responsible for supporting and coordinating projects involving Data Science and Data Engineers on the team. This role ensures effective project planning, execution, and delivery to support the marketing and product functions of the company.

Interactions: This position will work closely with the analytics team and other stakeholders in the company to manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage projects within the analytics team to support marketing and product initiatives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, monitor project progress, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and provide regular updates.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication between analytics team members and other departments.
  • Ensure data-driven insights are delivered effectively to support marketing and product strategies.

Technical/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably supporting analytics, data science, or BI teams.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, BI tools, and data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or MS Project.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
