FLASH is at the forefront of smart city development, transforming parking assets to enhance urban mobility. We’re seeking talented software engineers to expand our core systems, crucial to our mission. As a core engineer, you’ll focus on developing scalable APIs and services, intricate pricing models, and transaction processing systems. You’ll also collaborate with internal and external teams to digitize access to parking facilities and EV charging stations.

Join our robust engineering team of 75 talented professionals. As a member of the core team, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers and product managers across various specialties, including web, iOS, Android, Recommendations Engine, and parking operating systems. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our core systems and driving the development of new features for our web and mobile products. This collaborative environment is perfect for those who thrive on cross-functional teamwork and are eager to contribute to multiple aspects of our product suite.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop scalable APIs and services using Ruby and Rails, and occasionally Go.
  • Implement complex pricing models and manage transaction processing.
  • Collaborate with teams to support the digital transformation of parking and EV charging access.
  • Utilize a diverse tech stack including Postgres, Redis, AWS (SQS, Dynamodb, EC2, ELB, RDS), Linux, Terraform, Chef, and Docker.

What You Bring:

  • Strong capability in building scalable systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to shipping clean, reliable, and maintainable code.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, and familiarity with Go.
  • Profound Computer Science background, preferably holding a relevant degree.
  • Experience with technologies such as Postgres, Redis, AWS, Linux, Terraform, Chef, and Docker.
  • Currently residing in the United States, as this position requires local presence.

$80,000 – $120,000 a year

Salary will be determined based on candidate’s skills and experience level.
